Volunteer
We offer opportunities for anyone with a calling to get involved. It can be as simple as praying for our efforts or joining us on a field mission. We continue to grow our volunteer base and provide an excellent opportunity to help others in need. We hope that you will partner with us in this great calling.

A testimonial from one of the Missionaries, Joe Ferraro, who joined the team in Haiti in Dec 2013
Dear Family, Friends & Colleagues,
First, I would like to wish all of you the very best for the holidays and a Happy New Year! Second, having recently returned home from one of the most moving and memorable experiences of my life, I feel compelled to share it in the interest of soliciting your support. Just prior to Christmas, I spent a week in Haiti as a Missionary as a member of a non-profit organization called Missionary Assistance Ministry (MAM).
Having directly witnessed the tireless efforts of MAMs volunteers in Haiti (who paid their own way to get there and volunteered their time and services) - a total volunteer corp of 25 including Doctors, Pastors and others from across the Globe - I can tell you from first-hand experience that MAM truly has made an incredibly positive difference in the lives of these orphans. When MAM volunteers first arrived in Haiti following the earthquake in 2010, many of the orphans they support were malnourished, in dire need of medical attention, had no shelter and, most importantly, anyone to care for them. As a result, most of the children were sick, withdrawn and untrusting. Through MAM's efforts, five (5) orphanages are currently now supported and a school has been built and is being operated with MAM's ongoing financial and other support. In total, MAM now supports nearly 500 children\orphans in Haiti alone and is committed to helping the country \re-build by focusing on the country's next generation - it's children.
In stark contrast to three (3) years ago, during the team's visit to the orphanages and school the children were healthy and very happy to see and interact with the team. In addition to their basic physical needs, like all children they are very much in need of love and attention and they received plenty of both from the volunteers during my visit. The faces, smiles, hugs, and little hands held that I personally received from Christopher, Michael, Jemima, Samantha and so many other children has left an indelible mark on me and I can hardly wait to return in May of next year.
In closing, I would like to solicit your support. Based on experience to date, it costs only $30 per month to house, feed, clothe, teach and provide medical attention for an orphan in Haiti. I would ask you to search your heart to determine whether you can help MAM support a child for a year (it costs just a dollar a day). Funds are used to pay for the orphanages\facilities and purchase & deliver food locally (no middle-men or delivery expenses which enables maximum benefit to the children).
When you have a moment, please review the MAM website and consider making an online donation at http://www.mamworld.org/give.aspx. No donation, financial or other, is too small and anyone interested in joining us on a future mission trip please let me or contact MAM directly at contact@mamworld.org.
Best wishes to you and your families for a Very Happy & Successful New Year!
Regards,
Joe Ferraro
